Mental Health
We are all aware that positive mental health is key to everyone’s wellbeing. We are committed to ensuring that every member of our community is supported to have positive mental health and to access support if needed.
Good mental health is an important part of healthy child development. It helps children build positive social, emotional, behaviour, thinking and communication skills. It also lays the foundation for better mental health and wellbeing later in life.
We have two members of staff in school who are Mental Health Champions – Mrs Orton and Mr Powell – and children know that they can approach them for support; they are available to offer advice and support to parents and carers about their children too.
