Uniform

At St. Jude’s Catholic Primary School, we  believe that school uniform  is vital for:

  • Promoting the ethos of a school.
  • Providing a sense of belonging and identity.
  • Setting an appropriate tone for education.

We aim to have a uniform policy which is consistent, fair and inclusive, and to set a standard that reflects the needs of all pupils, is affordable, and provides the best value for money for both the school and pupils’ families.

As parents and carers for pupils at St. Jude’s, we politely ask that you  are responsible for:

  • Providing their children with the correct school uniform.
  • Informing the headteacher if your child requires an exemption to the uniform rules for a period of time, with a reason why.
  • Ensuring that your child’s uniform is clean, presentable and the correct size.
  • Approaching the school for support to access uniform if you are unable to make provisions.

We ask that pupils are responsible for:

  • Wearing the correct uniform at all times.
  • Looking after their uniform as appropriate.
  • Understanding and respecting why a school uniform is important to the school, e.g. school identity and community.
