During Lent, Years 3 and 4 welcomed parents and parishioners to join us for their tableaux of the Stations of the Cross.
Pope Francis often used the Stations of the Cross to reflect on how Jesus’ ancient journey to Calvary mirrors the modern struggles of the poor, the marginalized, and those suffering from global conflicts. Pupils were able to talk about this journey and make links to Catholic Social Teaching.
The church was filled with reflection and prayer as we accompanied Jesus on his final journey. Pupils created freeze frames and read with great reverence during this very special service.
We were very proud of our Year 6 pupils who provided musical accompaniment with their skilful clarinet playing.
