“The Birth of Jesus brings us the good news that we are loved immensely and uniquely by God.” – Pope Francis
Thank you to all the family members who joined us in school during the last week of term for our Christmas Singalongs and musical performances. These were a wonderfully festive way to celebrate the end of the first term of the school year.
One of the hi-lights of this special time in school has got to be the Nativity performance given by Year 1. The children narrated, sang and acted beautifully to remind us of the real meaning of Christmas.
Also, our Year 4 class visited a local care home to entertain the residents with Christmas songs and carols. A great time was had by all!
As a school, we delivered food donations to a local charity. The staff were extremely grateful and explained to the children how much the donations would help local families in our community. We also collected money for Save the Children on Christmas Jumper Day and made contributions to the Birmingham Irish Toy Appeal.
The whole school had a very exciting time during the last couple of weeks of term with Christmas discos, class parties and Christmas dinners. Our annual Christmas Boutique, where pupils get to choose a gift for a loved one, caused much excitement around school!
