2 Corinthians 9:15
“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable Gift.”

Our preparations for Christmas have been very special at St. Jude’s this year. Our two Nativity play was a wonderful reflection of the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Pupils and staff across Year 1 worked very hard and impressed us all with their beautiful singing and acting. Reception and Nursery were joined by their parents for a Christmas sing-a-long which everyone enjoyed!

There was a Bambinelli blessing at Church from Father Philip and some of our pupils presented stunning Jesus Nativity stones at the foot of the altar.

Christmas parties, Christmas dinners and our Christmas Boutique were very special occasions for us all. Pupils enjoyed the festivities and were beautifully behaved especially as a certain man in a red suit popped in to say hello! Our Christmas reading bags were a huge success. Thanks to everyone who took part and those who sent back their excellent comments and photos.

As usual, our community was very generous in donating to our Advent Giving Tree this year. We collected food donations for local food banks at The Spearhead Trust and Manningford Hall. Staff were also very generous in their contributions to the Tolkien Toy Appeal. It was fantastic to see out chaplaincy leaders out and about in the local community spreading some Christmas cheer.
