‘This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him’. (1 John 4:9)
We were absolutely delighted to welcome so many parents in to school during Advent for ‘Stay ‘n’ Pray’ workshops. Pupils lead some beautiful prayer and liturgy which included fantastic singing. Parents enjoyed making Advent wreaths and taking part in Art activities with their children. Feedback was positive and much appreciated:
- ‘I really enjoy these kind of sessions and lovely to see so many parents get involved.’
- ‘We love this school and all that you teach our children,’
- ‘An excellent day to work with the children and learn some new things about Advent.’
Chaplaincy leaders also had their after school sessions during Advent where they prepared sacred spaces in school fir prayer and reflection. They are a great team! They also joined with our other primary schools in the parish to spread the message of hope, faith and love in their Advent Roadshow.
