Year 3

Year 3 is when we take the big step from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. The classroom isn’t downstairs anymore!

It is a big change for us but once we are into the new routine, however, we realise that we were ready for the step up. We work hard with our teacher to be the best that we can be.

We have a different playground and this gives us the chance to make new friends and play football, basketball or netball.

A very important part of life in Year 3 is that it is a Sacramental year in school. We learn more about our relationship with God as we find out about His forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We also prepare for, and make, our First Holy Communion in the summer. Both of these events remind us that we are all part of God’s family. We make every effort to follow our mission – to live, love and learn together joyfully in Jesus’ name.

With our programme of special events, such as Science afternoons, museum and theatre trips, cooking, gardening and workshops we have something to look forward to every week.
